Meet The Team

Kevin Dotson

Owner & Operator

Kevin began his journey into painting and restoration during college, where he developed a love for transforming spaces. After initially working as a real estate agent flipping houses, Kevin transitioned into a full-fledged painting business in 1999. Over the past 25 years, Malzach Painting has grown from working with rehabbers to becoming a trusted name for residential painting and restoration projects throughout Kansas City.

What sets Kevin apart is his dedication to quality control and his deep roots in the community. As a lifelong resident of the Northland, Kevin is an Oak Park High School and University of Central Missouri alumni and a proud member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. He has always prioritized family and his local connections. Kevin’s wife handles the business’s administrative side, and their four children have all worked for the company over the years.

Kevin’s hands-on approach ensures unmatched quality – he is personally on job sites 90% of the time. His guiding values of honesty, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction have helped him build a loyal customer base.
